Arriving and departing by plane:
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is served by Los Cabos International Airport and SJD the airport near San Jose Del Cabo..   The Los Cabos International Airport is the fifth largest airport in all of Mexico, and as such, it is up to international standards in terms of accommodations and safety.   More information is available at http://www.loscabosguide.com/airlines.htm .    Airport map

Flights traveling to Cabo San Lucas include:

When visitors arrive at the airport, they can either rent a car, hire a taxi, proceed to their prearranged private or shared shuttle operator, or buy a ticket to take the collectivo which is the minibus system serving the airport area.  Visitors should make sure to hire taxis and purchase collectivos tickets only from marked authorized stands for reasons of safety.

Arriving and departing by car:

The most common route for getting in to Cabo San Lucas by car is to go through La Paz, taking Highway 1 and then Highway 19 straight to Cabo San Lucas.  This is approximately a two hour drive.  Visitors should check current regulations for taking cars in to Mexico before traveling this way. This information is not for passengers arriving to SJS San Jose

Arriving and departing by bus:
The bus is another method of getting to Cabo San Lucas.   The bus terminal is located on Heroes at Morales and is open from six in the morning until seven in the evening.

Avoiding time share drones and con artists in the airport: 

Even seasoned Cabo travelers can get snared on their way through the gauntlet. Just go directly outside to get a taxi or your transportation.
